New Eastern Suburbs/Illawarra/South Coast timetable
Southern Sydney commuters will get a new timetable in December 2010 once duplication works on the Cronulla branch line (expected in April) and resignalling between Oatley and Loftus is completed.
Minor changes will begin to take place after the duplication is complete in April 2010. This involves extending existing services bound for Sutherland to Cronulla.
The proposed timetable for December 2010 essentially doubles Cronulla services. The Cronulla spur line will have an increase in train services from 2 to 4 services per hour during off peak, and to 8 during peak. Practically speaking, most commuters will not see a major change in train frequencies (increase or decrease) along the major and minor stations between the City and Sutherland.

Other timetable changes
From 28 February, there will be minor timetable changes to other train lines across Sydney due to the construction of the Glenfield Transport Interchange and Sydney Freight Line.
From a quick glance, most changes involve trains departing one minute earlier (not that this means a lot to Cityrail). The lines affected include the Bankstown, Cumberland, Inner West, North Shore, Airport/East Hills, Western, South and Souther Highlands Lines.
